Tenerife - Masca & Garachico & los Gigantes

The final bits include Garachico, a town devastated in 1700-something (like 1704 or something similar) by the eruption of a volcano. The town was totally wiped away except for the monastary and the fort - both of which still exist today. They rebuilt the town but apparently the harbour has never been recouperated. However the eruption created these gorgeous rock pools that have been turned into natural sea pools - full of fish and so clear they look a foot deep yet are deep enough to dive in (well not all but some!)

Masca as ever gorgeous.

And a few of the hotel and stuff..
